About the Vulcan backend Microsoft knew Vulcan would be an issue and chose not to put development hours into it. I don’t know why, I’m not going to speculate as to why. The facts are they knew it would be an issue and didn’t put much if any time into it.

P.S. : If you have a cheap 8" android tablet laying around, Drastic ( DS emulator ) will likely run very well. Touchpad-heavy games, or anything that dosen't rely too much on physical buttons ( like platformers ) will be played anywhere from "okay" ( light use of buttons ) to "fantastic" ( mostly touchscreen ). 3DS games / Citra emulation needs a better processor, so a recent, mid-range tablet is needed. Again games that need physical buttons to play well will need a Bluetooth controller.

This is an amasing way to emulate the DS and 2DS, sadly that 2 screens fold-phone is expensive and has not seen many units to give us cheap second hands.

I feel like this is the PERFECT tablet to use for streaming. media servers, netflix, remote gaming, and music. This is a nice little media consumption device. As far as local? I would try to stick to just SUPER basic small library, but you can just as easily run something like WebRcade.
